ACER PALMATUM FIREGLOW, FIREGLOW JAPANESE MAPLE
This is an upright red-leaf Japanese maple, growing to about 25' high and 20' wide in 25 years. A terrific choice for a small specimen. This was given the Award of Merit in Holland in 1982. Rare in the trade, we have a mature specimen in the garden.
 
ACER PALMATUM GOSHIKI KOTOHIME, GOSHIKI KOTOHIME JAPANESE MAPLE
Choice, slow-growing cultivar, becoming an upright shrub green leaves have pink tips when young and irregular creamy variegations hence the translation 'multi-colored dwarf'.A rare and desirable cultivar, excellent in the rock garden or for bonsai.
 
ACER PALMATUM HIGASAYAMA, HIGASAYAMA JAPANESE MAPLE
A tall, shrubby tree to 25' in height, with a narrow, columnar habit. Its 7-lobed leaves are cleanly edged in cream and pink. One of the most beautiful variegated forms we've seen. Be sure to take a look at the one inour display garden
 
ACER PALMATUM ORANGE DREAM, ORANGE DREAM JAPANESE MAPLE
An orange leafed maple contrasts beautifully with the bright green bark & yellow fall foliage. It is a narrow,upright and slow growing small tree or large shrub. A must for any Japanese maple buff.
 
ACER PALMATUM OSHIO BENI
This plant is smaller than most of the Japanese maples, to only 15 feet in 20 years. Dark maroon foliage color is held throughout the summer. An excellent plant for the small garden. It would look great under-planted with Hosta 'Gold Standard'.
 
ACER PALMATUM RYUSEN
This unusual Japanese maple has a natural weeping habit. When staked to grow upright, which really is necessary to get the tree to grow to any height at all, the branches are pendulous and weep straight to ground like a waterfall. The deep green leaves emerge a light green and as the season progresses they take on a very deep green color. By fall the tree bursts with a display of orange and red color that are truly eyecatching
 
ACER PALMATUM SHARPS PYGMY
A nice dwarf cultivar that looks like a bonsai without any pruning. Eventually will get to 3 feet, so it's perfect for the rock garden. Fall color is a deep crimson-red. Look for the specimen in our gardens.
 
ACER PALMATUM SHINDESHOJO SHINDESHOJO JAPANESE MAPLE
Brilliant flaming scarlet spring growth rivals any flowering plant.
 
ACER PALMATUM SHISHIGASHIRA, LIONS HEAD JAPANESE MAPLE
Slow growing small tree with very congested growth. Looks like a big bonsai or could it be a fanciful 'lion's head' as the name translates to? Useful as an accent in the rock garden or foundation planting.
 
ACER PALMATUM TROMPENBURG, TROMPENBURG JAPANESE MAPLE
The lobes of the deep purple-red leaves have a distinctive curl, giving the appearance of an open hand. A very popular cultivar, this upright grower will mature at about 15-18'. Crimson-red fall color.
 
ACER PALMATUM TSUMA GAKI, TSUMA GAKI JAPANESE MAPLE
This small tree has yellow-green leaves that are tipped red. The leaves droop slightly, giving it a very soft texture.Fall color changes within a range of crimson & reds. Forms a rounded plant to 8'.
 
ACER PALMATUM TWOMBLY RED SENTINEL
Originally found by Ken Twombly as a witches broom on a 'Bloodgood' maple, this forms a slow growing, compact, small tree with deep burgundy foliage. It has an upright vase shape if left unpruned and holds its leaves longer than any maple we've seen. A superb plant for the smaller landscape, it will grow 10'x20' at maturity with bright red foliage
 
ACER PALMATUM UKIGUMO, UKIGUMO JAPANESE MAPLE
One of the best variegated forms available. It has a soft coloration of a green base with patches of white and pink with some leaves totally one of the two colors. A semi-dense habit is due to short, multi-branching making this a tall shrub to 7' x 5' wide. It has a fitting translation of 'floating clouds'.

Upright variegated Japanese Maple. White and green leaves. Reaches a height of approx. 25'. Beautiful specimen when mixed in a shrub border.
 
ACER PAMLMATUM VILLA TARANTO
A superb cultivar in the linearilobum group, with a growth habit similar to 'Red Pygmy'. It has bright green leaveswith a light reddish overtone creating a really unusual color effect. In fall, it turns a spectacular gold. A dome-shaped plant to 6', these would be perfect as specimens in a small garden.
 
ACER PLATANOIDES CRIMSON KING, Norway Maple
The most frequently used purple-leafed shade tree. Color is retained well throughout the summer. Good as a lawn specimen at 30' wide x 50' with a rounded shape.
 
ACER SACCHARUM GREEN MOUNTAIN, Green Mountain Sugar Maple
Dark green leathery foliage turns shades of brilliant scarlet & orange in fall. Eventually develops an upright oval crown at 60'. Good for its heat tolerance & hardiness.
 
ACER SHIRASAWANUM AUREUM, Golden Fullmoon Maple
Striking small tree, with pale chartreuse-yellow foliage in spring & orange to red fall color. Best in light shade where it really glows! A must for any garden at 12' tall
 
ACER TRIFLORUM, Trifoliate Maple
Chartreuse tri-lobed leaves are a bright accent in the garden, turning a bright golden-orange in the fall, but this plant is also outstanding for its striped and peeling bark. An excellent plant for the winter and summer garden. Grows up to 20' high and 15' wide. This is a great substitute for Japanese Maples in colder areas and is insect and disease resistant.
 
AESCULUS PARVIFLORA , Bottlebrush Buckeye
A beautiful, wide-spreading shrub, giving an incredible display of glowing white panicles for 3-4 weeks in July & August. The foliage is a rich green, turning golden yellow in fall. Grows to 10' high x 15' as it spreads from root suckers making a wonderful colony over time. Likes a bit of shade. A PA Hort Society Gold Medal Winner.
 
AESCULUS X CARNEA BRIOTI
A cross between hippocastanum and pavia, giving us a splendid rounded to broad 30-40' tree, with spectacular dark pink & yellow flowers in May. Good, disease-free, dark green foliage & one of the most popular trees in England.
 
AESCULUS X CARNEA ONEIL"S RED
A horsechestnut with 12' panicles of red flowers in spring to early summer. It is a spreading tree with dark green and slightly twisted leaves. Large growing.
 
AZALEA FASHION
An upright grower to 6', with large orange-red hose-in- hose flowers with a deep red blotch.
